A new, multiyear agreement has been made between NewPage Corp. and Unisource Worldwide that significantly increases their joint manufacturing and distribution relationship. The agreement defines expanded trading areas for Unisource and now includes all of its locations in the United States and Canada. In addition to NewPage supplying several of Unisource’s private label brands, Unisource now has a national distribution footprint for NewPage commercial sheetfed brands and becomes an authorized reseller of coated web products.
Dave Wigfield is the new worldwide sales and operations director of workflow at Eastman Kodak’s Business Solutions and Services Group (BSSG). In other news, Jeff Hayzlett, Eastman Kodak’s chief marketing officer and vice president, was awarded the G.D. Crain Jr. Award for Marketing Excellence at the Business Marketing Association’s 2009 annual conference.
Several announcements have been made at KBA North America. The company has moved its headquarters into a 60,000-square-foot facility at the Dallas/Ft. Worth Airport complex to house all of its sheetfed and web operations. In addition, KBA has teamed up with FLEXcon, a manufacturer of pressure-sensitive films and adhesives, and Megami Corp., a Japanese ink manufacturer, to test and qualify 38 different synthetic substrates that can be printed on an offset press. In other company news, Ulrich Wicke has been tapped as the new vice president of sales and service for the company’s web offset division in North America.
