Komori America has reorganized its U.S. service organization, centralizing its service administration functions in its Rolling Meadows, IL, headquarters. The company is now able to provide its service coordinators with on-site access to staff engineers and technicians, speeding response times. Service management and service technicians will continue to be based regionally. INX International Ink recently opened an 80,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Homewood, IL. The company projects that the capacity of inks and coatings will be 90 million lbs. in the first year of operation.
Screen (USA) has created an umbrella product support group for print-on-demand, CTP and workflow systems. The restructuring centralizes the functions of the applications support de- partment, support products division and Inca support within a single department at Screen’s North American headquarters in Rolling Meadows, IL. Rick Siwicki has been named to oversee the new product support group.
Two appointments have been made at Mitsubishi Imaging. Catherine Cartolano has been named vice president of graphic arts material sales and technical services. Chris Hung is now vice president of digital imaging sales and business development.

New York University has named Vyomesh “VJ” Joshi as its 2009 Prism Award recipient. The Prism Award is presented annually in recognition of distinguished leadership in the graphic arts and communications industry. Joshi is executive vice president of the Imaging and Printing Group (IPG) at Hewlett-Packard. The award will be presented during the 24th annual Prism Award luncheon on June 24 in New York.
An agreement has been made between Sun Chemical and the Pitman Co., wherein the Pitman Co. is now the national distributor for Sun Chemical in the commercial marketplace. Pitman now carries Sun Chemical’s full line of commercial inks and helps provide technical and product support.
