Printing Industries Alliance Announces 2008 Human Resources Conference
AMHERST, NY—April 14, 2008—Printing Industries Alliance announced the scheduling of its 2008 Human Resources Conference which is being held on May 1 - 2, 2008 at Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, New York.
This conference will feature a combination of educational programming and networking opportunities for Human Resource professionals, owners and other staff who are responsible for managing the Human Resource function in the graphic communications industry.
The PIA 2008 Human Resources Conference program features the following presenters:
Nicholas Fiorenza, Esq. - Mr. Fiorenza is managing partner of Ferrara, Fiorenza, Larrison, Barrett & Reitz, PC, one of the leading labor law firms in the Northeast. He is counsel to Printing Industries Alliance and a frequent speaker and writer for the graphic communications industry. He will be speaking on “Rethinking Workplace Management”.
Michael Dodd, Esq. – Mr. Dodd is a partner with the Ferrara, Fiorenza Law Firm and works extensively with Printing Industries Alliance membership. He will be speaking on “Major Changes in Employment Law”.
Ross Kraft, President and Andrew Biernat, Vice President of The Meridian Group of New York. The Meridian Group is one of the leading Employee Benefits firms in New York State and partners with the organization to provide members with innovative employee benefit programs. Mr. Kraft and Mr. Biernat will be updating attendees on the latest employee benefit trends.
James Kyger, Human Relations Director, Printing Industries of America/Graphic Arts Technical Foundation – Mr. Kyger consults with graphic communications firms across the country on Human Resource matters. He will be speaking on ”How HR Laws Might Be Affected By The Upcoming Presidential Election” and “Characteristics of Best Workplace in America Companies”.
Timothy Mahar, Second City Comedy Troupe Presenter – Mr. Mahar will be presenting a conflict resolution workshop modeled on the renowned Second City corporate training program. Combining improv, role-playing and discussion, attendees will learn skills to resolve any conflict situation.
