Printing Industries of America Adds Kanonik as Digital Consultant
PITTSBURGH—February 10, 2009—Printing Industries of America announces today that Frank Kanonik, a well-known expert in digital printing, has joined its staff as a non-resident consultant and trainer. Kanonik adds to Printing Industries' resources available to member firms seeking to improve their digital printing sales and operations.
Printing Industries of America already provides members with information from its Digital Printing Council, along with a variety of workshops, conferences, publications, and research studies that address digital print-specific issues.
Kanonik originally worked for the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (GATF), which later consolidated with the Printing Industries of America and is now known as the Center for Technology and Research. His 23-year tenure included roles as production manager, in which he oversaw the installation and use of one of the first digital presses in the industry, and associate director of training with responsibility for GATF's wide range of training classes.
Later, Kanonik was a national program manager for Xerox, developing and delivering training classes on how to sell, market, and implement digital print worldwide. He was also director of advanced document solutions at ProSource Printing in Pittsburgh.
In addition to being the newest member of the Printing Industries' consulting team, Kanonik will continue to operate his own company, DigitalPrintInfo, and serve as consulting practice leader at IntellectiveSolutions, LLC.
"Frank is a rare individual who understands, in detail, all the elements that it takes to be successful with digital and variable-data printing and related services," said Kenneth Rizzo, director of consulting for Printing Industries of America. "His presence allows us to assist member firms engaged in digital printing in new ways."
