Printing Industries of America Reveals 2016 InterTech Technology Award Recipients
PITTSBURGH — July 21, 2016 — Six technologies have been selected to receive a 2016 InterTech Technology Award. The technologies receiving the award have been judged as truly innovative and are expected to advance the performance of the graphic communications industry.
An independent panel of judges deliberated over an outstanding selection of technology nominations which highlighted the dynamic nature of the industry. This year’s awards highlighted inventions that extend the performance and value of toner-based digital presses, raise the productivity of folding equipment, streamline layout planning and creation, permit cost-effective personalization of three dimensional objects, and make it possible to produce large 3D models and molds out of paper.

The InterTech stars, recognized as a symbol of technological innovation and excellence, will be presented before an audience of industry leaders during the 2016 Printing Industries of America Premier Print Awards and InterTech Technology Awards Gala, Sept. 25 in Orlando, Fla.
A technology review booklet showcasing all of the year’s entries will be distributed at Graph Expo 16 and with the August/September issue of Printing Industries of America—The Magazine.
