Printing Industry Consultant Offers Advice on Strategic Capital Investments in Today’s Business Environment
According to long-time printing industry executive and consultant, Ray Hartman, “Investing in new equipment has been extremely critical to a company’s ability to compete in a challenging market with shorter run lengths, multiple color applications (six to eight colors) for branding of market products, and competing with today’s digital landscape.”
In his article, Strategic Capital Investments in Today’s Business Environment, Hartman presents a sense of the past and present regarding consolidations, some international influences, technology advancement, workforce training, and capital investments. He presents case-study examples and scenarios. The article is the sixth in the first-year series of the Graphic Communication Advisory Group (https://hrlevenson.wixsite.com/gcag), and will appear in an annual journal early in 2022.
Cal Poly Professor Emeritus, Harvey Levenson, who coordinates the Group said, “Any company involved in capital equipment acquisitions today or in the future should read Hartman’s article.” The full article is offered for free to the entire printing industry at: https://hrlsite.files.wordpress.com/2021/06/capital-investments-in-the-printing-industry-rh-6.4.2021-rev-3-2-copy.pdf
