PrintRunner.com Touts Its ‘Green’ Printing Initiatives
LOS ANGELES—Oct. 25, 2010—PrintRunner.com is spearheading a number of “green” initiatives designed to make its printing practices as environmentally friendly as possible without compromising on quality.
In addition to offering customers the choice of printing on 100% recycled paper that is virtually indistinguishable from traditional “virgin” paper, the company uses only vegetable-based inks to reduce harmful emissions, and its direct-to-plate impositioning system has eliminated the need for the harmful chemicals normally required for developing plates.
PrintRunner's Komori printing presses are among the most efficient in the world, eliminating much of the waste that can result during the printing process—and keeping turnaround times brief.
Business cards, greeting cards, postcards, hangtags, bookmarks and club card flyers are all available on 100% recycled paper as a standard option, while all of the other products can be printed on 100% recycled paper through a custom order.
According to PrintRunner.com CEO Mike Zaya, “The environment is every bit as important to us as it is to our customers. PrintRunner is proud to be at the forefront of the printing industry’s efforts to go green.”
The company has further worked to reduce its carbon footprint by electing to comply with the standards set forth by the City of Los Angeles Green Business Program, and stocks paper that is certified by Forest Stewardship Council, or FSC.
