Print Media Centr’s show-and-tell event, Project Peacock Print Fair, will be held in Los Angeles on Sept. 12 at Sony Pictures Plaza, as the industry’s dedicated innovation and education roadshow rounds off its U.S.-based events for 2019 with a bang.
Project Peacock Print Fair will be joining forces with select partners to spark Printspiration among leading creatives from the Golden State’s top brands and agencies. Agfa Graphics, Brand United, Domtar Paper, Duplo, Konica Minolta, MGI, Printing Industries of America Southern California (PIASC), PRINTING United, Xeikon, and Xerox will all be showcasing how print’s exciting possibilities can amplify any message, and proving that print is as essential an element in the marketing mix as ever before.
Since the Project Peacock Print Fair began its journey in March of this year, key decision makers from brands and agencies have flocked to vibrant event spaces in their cities to be a part of the Project Peacock movement. The unique events bring something to the industry that it won’t see anywhere else; a symbiotic, impartial and educational experience born out of a passion for stronger bonds and more effective collaboration between print and the creatives that use it.
Joe Bolokowicz, Senior Print Producer at Chicago advertising agency AbelsonTaylor, says: “Project Peacock Print Fair exceeded all my expectations. The advertising industry used to come together as a whole to talk about print production. I haven’t seen that in the better part of eight years, so this event has been fulfilling. It makes me miss the days of having a cohesive, local networking experience where print buyers and designers would come together quarterly, and talk about what’s new, asking: ‘what can we do to better our industry? What can we do to better our print production?’ The advertising industry needs this!”
Deborah Corn, Intergalactic Ambassador to The Printerverse at Print Media Centr and the founder of Project Peacock, says: “The print customers have been incredible. They are discussing new ideas and new print applications, placing new orders with new vendors, and exploring new possibilities with new technologies after every event. They want to do amazing things, and Peacock shows them how.”
The event will take place from 6 to 9 p.m., beginning with a cocktail hour that includes a presentation from Jack Noonan, Marketing Manager at MGI USA, who will be sharing why Dimensional Design and Sensory Print is a driving force in marketing success. The keynote presentation will be delivered by Roxy Prima and Phoebe Cornog of Pandr Design Co, a California-based boutique design studio specializing in creating sharable moments through their murals, who will be discussing their strategy for creating art pieces that create engagement.
Following this, attendees will have the chance to discover and explore what the Project Peacock Print Fair partners are showcasing at the event, with a myriad of paper, print, and finishing on display, demonstrating how each application can raise print campaigns to new, exciting levels.
Project Peacock Print Fair Los Angeles is FREE for print customers. Printers and service providers are welcome to attend for $45 to benefit Graphic Communications students. You can register for the event at projectpeacock.printmediacentr.com.
