Donnelley Seeks to Start Pilot Program in IL
CHICAGO—RR Donnelley is looking to expand into Bloomington, IL, with a pilot program that would place a tech hub in the STL Technology Center. According to WMBD-TV 31, the project is awaiting two council approvals before it can move forward.
The city councils of Bloomington and Normal have been asked to green light a request for $75,000 each for the pilot program, which could pave the way for 50 jobs. If approved, each of those jobs would pay about $50,000 per year.
RR Donnelley has also signed a definitive agreement to acquire Canadian-based MultiCorpora, an international provider of translation technology solutions. The acquisition will expand the capabilities of RR Donnelley's Language Solutions group, supporting clients' multi-lingual communications.
MultiCorpora develops and enables translation technology to deliver solutions for the language industry featuring its flagship software product MultiTrans Prism. A number of international governments and organizations, Fortune 500 companies, and language service providers benefit from MultiCorpora's translation technology expertise.
