Quad/Graphics Renews OfficeMax Retail Insert and Catalog Work
SUSSEX, WI—May 3, 2012—Quad/Graphics Inc. has renewed its exclusive retail insert and catalog printing business with OfficeMax Inc. and added significant direct mail volume for the leading office supply retailer in a new multiyear agreement. With additional related freight logistics and in-store signage business, total revenues from the long-time Quad/Graphics customer are expected to grow approximately 20 percent versus prior year levels.
“We have printed OfficeMax catalogs for more than 20 years and that has given us a solid foundation to expand our services for this leading retailer,” said Joel Quadracci, chairman, president and CEO of Quad/Graphics. “Adding direct mail gives us another way to grow our marketing solutions partnership with this important client and reflects our commitment to serving our customers in more ways to deliver even greater value to their businesses.”
Tim Gable, director of Print Production for OfficeMax, said his company expects to benefit from Quad/Graphics’ scale, national network and innovative direct mail approaches. “Quad’s successful service model in support of our insert advertising and catalog programs has given us the confidence to tap Quad’s growing services in direct mail and other areas,” Gable said. “We see efficiencies from a brand and cost standpoint in working with a supplier like Quad who can do more for us on a national basis.”
