QuadPackaging, a division of Quad/Graphics currently located at One World Packaging Circle in Franklin, Wis., will be expanding into an additional 162,861-sq.-ft. facility in the same industrial park, according to BizTimes.
The new building was completed in December 2017 by Zilber Property Group, BizTimes reported. Claire Ho, director of corporate communications at Quad/Graphics, told Printing Impressions that the new leased warehouse space will be used for finished goods and roll storage. Ho added that Quad/Graphics does not plan to add any additional employees as a result of this build out.
QuadPackaging was formed as an organic next step in Quad/Graphics' growth plan into an expanding gap in the retail industry. The packaging division was created through a series of strategic acquisitions of packaging companies.
It had its start with Proteus, a packaging company based in Wisconsin since 1932. QuadPackaging has since expanded its footprint in the U.S. and the Caribbean with the acquisitions of Copac Global Packaging and Specialty Finishing. Tom Garland serves as president of QuadPackaging
