Quebecor World Restructures
GREENWICH, CT—Quebecor World announced it has combined its Commercial and Direct Mail groups, creating a gigantic business unit with sales in excess of $1 billion.
The combined operations allows Quebecor World to enhance customer service and further facilitate its manufacturing strategy of increased plant specialization and equipment utilization. With the move comes a number of new assignments. They include:
Fran Canzano, president of the New England Group (Acme, Universal and Packaging Graphics) will assume additional responsibilities for Northeast Graphics and Infiniti Graphics. The realignment gives the New England Group a broader array of resources and market coverage.
Canzano reports directly to Brian Sullivan, president of the Commercial/Direct Group.
Mike Graham, senior vice president of sales and marketing, will lead a focused effort on all personalized products. He will be responsible for growing this specialty market and introducing products to prospective and existing clients.
Clint Humphrey will assume the role of executive vice president of operations for the Direct Group. Responsibilities will be focused on the Effingham, IL; Atlanta and Oakwood, GA, facilities, where he'll assume manufacturing and P&L responsibilities.
Jim Petriz, senior vice president of national sales for the Commercial/Direct Group, will focus on developing an organized sales and marketing effort to expand the Quebecor World platform on a local, regional and national level.
George Platia, in his role as executive vice president of operations, will assume the P&L responsibility for the following facilities: Central Florida Press of Orlando, FL, and Oberlin, OH; Wessel in Elk Grove Village, IL; and Eagle in Kansas City, MO.
He will continue to maintain manufacturing responsibilities for all Commercial/Direct Group locations.
Dennis Savitsky, vice president of finance and administration for the Commercial/Direct Group, will oversee all aspects of financial operations for both groups, and will have financial responsibility for the Canadian Specialty Group.
Aivars Beikmanis, president of Canada Specialty Group; Randy Ginsberg, president of George Rice & Sons in Los Angeles; and Herb Sayers, president of Sayers in St. Louis, will continue to lead their respective operations and report directly to Brian Sullivan.
In other Quebecor World news, the printer announced that it has acquired a controlling interest in Espacio y Punto, a leading Spanish premedia company located in Madrid, Spain. Quebecor World also operates three other facilities in Spain: one in Madrid and two in Barcelona.
