MONTREAL—In an effort to get customers more bang for their buck, Quebecor World is restructuring its U.S. catalog platform, a plan that includes investments in new press and bindery technology. The restructuring will also result in the closing of two facilities, which will eliminate 400 employee positions.
Quebecor World’s printing plant in Elk Grove Village, IL, and a bindery in Bensenville, IL, will be shuttered during the first quarter of 2007. The company expects to create 75 jobs when existing and new equipment is deployed at plants in Jonesboro, AR, Merced, CA, and Corinth, MS.
