Ramsey Press in Jersey Closes Down
MAHWAH, NJ—A former employee reports that boutique printer Ramsey Press has gone out of business, having filed Chapter 7 liquidation proceedings. Mac Byrd, now the sales and marketing director for Dolce Printing in Maywood, NJ, confirmed that eight employees from across several departments at the now-defunct printer have joined forces with him at Dolce Printing.
Among the new appointments are Ed Parker, senior account executive; John Manolatos, senior account manager; Eric Dederding, account manager; Steve Cartoon, production manager; and Brando Roman, prepress manager.
Glen Dolce, vice president at Dolce Printing, says the staff additions have “effectively increased our sales volumes to about $10 million, and at the same time, bolstered our color knowledge and print management talent for bringing the very best quality commercial printing to our customer base.”
About 18 to 20 employees remained when Ramsey Press shut its doors in late August, down from about a high of around 50 earlier in the year. The company had been certified as a G7 Master Printer and a Woman-owned Business Enterprise (WBE).
