Reindl Printing Purchases its Fifth Komori - the Impremia IS29 Printing System
ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. - September 12, 2017 - Komori America Corporation’s award-winning Impremia IS29, a first-of-its-kind 29" inkjet sheetfed UV printing system, has been purchased by Wisconsin-based Reindl Printing to support the company’s growing digital department. Reindl Printing chose the IS29 for its unique ability to fill the gap between mainstream offset and digital by offering highly relevant, personalized color output at a reasonable cost. This is Reindl Printing’s fifth Komori press.
“Expanding our digital department with the guaranteed print quality of the IS29 is very important to us. As a G7 Master Printer, we wouldn’t purchase anything that didn’t deliver on superior color quality. This made the IS29 the perfect choice for meeting our short-run variable print needs,” said Rick Reindl, co-owner of Reindl Printing. “Having experience with the print quality and quick drying capabilities of Komori’s H-UV™ system on our eight-color GL40, we were sold when we learned that the IS29 offered UV inkjet characteristics as well as perfecting. We serve businesses nationwide and gaining the ability to cut production time in half and take advantage of the fast curing speeds and durability UV offers were key drivers in the purchase.”
The company noted other positives of the IS29 included the fact the press runs a 23x29" sheet, ideal for six-up print production with full variable print applications that can come right off the machine to finishing and get out the door quickly. The IS29 operates in both perfecting or straight mode, does not require pre-coated paper and runs at speeds of 3,000 sheets per hour in straight mode.
“The growing popularity in the marketplace of the Impremia IS29 is very exciting,” said Jacki Hudmon, senior vice president of new business development for Komori America. “Reindl Printing has been a part of the Komori family since 1997 and we are thrilled they have chosen to add this innovative press to their fleet of Komori presses.”
