Packages Returned from World Trade Center
Chip Snyder, ColorDynamics Inc., Allen, TX
I remember standing in front of the TV in the customer lounge with half the company, watching as the first tower collapsed. All day long people would migrate in and out of there, leaving for awhile to try to get some work done, but always coming back to catch up on the news about what had happened. We had just finished a job for Morgan Stanley and had shipped samples by FedEx to several people in the World Trade center. After about a week, they started to come back.
As much as I remember the image of the first tower falling, I remember a pallet in our shipping department with half a dozen beat-up packages on it, returned as undeliverable from the World Trade Center, each one representing a person.
