Ricoh Expands Its Postal Optimization Solutions Portfolio with New Software, Services
WASHINGTON, DC—March 19, 2014—Ricoh has announced new additions to its postal optimization solutions portfolio that address mail integrity and enablement for its industry-first Critical Communications suite. The Mail Integrity suite, a professional services portfolio that delivers Ricoh and third-party solutions, end-to-end implementation, integration and training, alleviates the mail workload so that customers can focus on growing their businesses. Ricoh’s Postal Enablement feature identifies address information, extracts it and presents it to a third-party postal optimization software product early in the mail process, ultimately saving money and valuable time. These postal optimization solutions will both be on display at National Postal Forum (NPF), March 16-19, in Washington DC in the Ricoh booth #1711.
As mail costs continue to rise, volumes grow, and postal regulations become more complex, Ricoh provides a path to efficiency with a modular, scalable and customizable portfolio of services and solutions that can be tailored to the needs of organizations of all sizes, from simple, low-volume applications to complex, high-volume applications. Leveraging its award-winning workflow platforms like Ricoh ProcessDirector, Ricoh ProcessDirector Express and Ricoh TotalFlow DocEnhancer and its Professional Services, Ricoh delivers a package that ultimately helps organizations automate, simplify and save.
Ricoh’s Postal Enablement feature, the foundation of postal optimization solutions, helps organizations save money by reducing the number of incorrect addresses mailed. It accomplishes this through its process of collecting address information, meaning it is ready to present to third-party software for address cleansing, suppression and sorting. This flexible feature can be used with fully composed files and is designed to be compatible with postal tools of all types around the world. It is available as an add-on feature to Ricoh ProcessDirector, Ricoh ProcessDirector Express and TotalFlow DocEnhancer, allowing users to start small by connecting it to postal-certified third-party software themselves or grow to an end-to-end implementation of Ricoh’s workflow solutions.
Ricoh’s Professional Services team implements entire mail solutions via its Mail Integrity Suite that delivers automated, customized solutions including:
- Mail Integrity Express (500,000 to 12 million pieces/year)
- Mail Integrity Essentials (up to 36 million pieces/year)
- Mail Integrity Advanced (unlimited volume)
Ricoh mail experts have spent decades solving mail workflow challenges for some of the world's largest businesses. This experience has aided them in creating packages that assure customers that their mail operations are running as efficiently and effectively as possible, with oversight from professionals.
“Most mailers know that inefficiencies can increase costs. What many don’t realize is just how much inefficiencies, incorrect addresses, wasted postage and inability to qualify for postal discounts cost them,” said Ted Takahashi, vice president, production print global marketing center at Ricoh. “The new postal optimization portfolio allows mailers to work smarter and think bigger by using automation to overcome the stumbling blocks that stand in their way.”
The Critical Communications solutions suite addresses specific operating challenges that offer a high return on investment:
- Postal optimization. Streamline mail handling and qualify for postal discounts.
- Tracking and compliance. Drive 100 percent integrity and meet reporting requirements.
- Automation. Eliminate human errors and manual tasks.
- Productivity/cost reduction. Reduce labor costs, improve throughput and increase utilization rates of assets you already own.
