Rider Dickerson and SCS Purchase Assets of Sleepeck Printing

CHICAGO—May 2009—Rider Dickerson, Inc. and Service Communications + Solutions (SCS) announced the asset purchase of large format printer, Sleepeck Printing Company. “Through this acquisition and the hiring of key Sleepeck staff, we are able to expand our presence in the Point of Purchase (POP) marketplace.” said Bill Barta, President of Rider Dickerson, “We look forward to expanding our relationships and services with several new high profile POP clients”.

“Rider/SCS are now able to provide Full Marketing and Print Solutions to our national client base by adding Large Format and UV Printing to our existing services which include Heatset Web, Sheetfed, Digital Variable Data Printing, and Marketing Intelligence Technology to better support our clients’ marketing efforts” said John Hamilton, President of SCS.

It has been a busy year for the two companies: Rider and SWO became equity partners in April, 2008, and in June of 2008 jointly purchased a 7/Color Indigo Digital Press capable of producing sophisticated Variable Data Printing (VDP) projects. In December of 2008, the companies entered a licensing agreement with MindFire®, the leading provider of marketing intelligence technology that enables the use of targeted, trackable cross media campaigns. The acquisition of Sleepeck Printing’s three large format presses and 40” 6/color press with UV coater was completed six months later.
