Ripon Printers Purchases HD Kolbus 153.P, Updates Binder Capabilities
Ripon Printers further enhanced its bindery throughput by acquiring an HD 153.P three-knife trimmer. The new addition, which replaces an older Kolbus (now owned by Muller Martini) trimmer, features newer technology that delivers higher speeds, more versatility, and superior quality control.
In searching for the replacement, Ripon’s production team became aware of and ultimately purchased the Kolbus three-knife trimmer through Print Finishing Partners (PFP) at the recent Print 19 conference held at Chicago’s McCormick Place.

Heading the equipment evaluation were Jeff Spence, Ripon’s vice president of operations, and Greg Peterson, finishing manager. Ripon Printers offers high capacity bindery capabilities combined with specialized finishing equipment to enhance virtually any print project.
