MARIETTA, Ga.—October 1, 2015—Graphic Systems North America (GSNA), the Authorized Distributor for RMGT (RYOBI MHI Graphic Technology) offset presses in North America, announced the highlights of GRAPH EXPO 15 (Sept. 13-16, 2015) in Chicago. On the heels of reporting that over 30 new RMGT presses were sold in the last 12 months in North America, the inaugural meeting of the Elite RMGT LED-UV Users Group was held on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015.
“We are proud to participate as founding members of the new Elite RMGT LED-UV Users Group,” relayed Mitch Weinberg, COO, Woolverton Printing. “We see great value in sharing in this forum. We knew that leveraging the benefits of LED-UV curing technology would take us to unique challenges, such as printing on plastic substrates. Learning from others printers in this Users Group has shortened our learning curve from a production standpoint.”
Visitors to the RMGT booth were also treated to hearing from printers discuss their business strategies during the Commit to Print Roundtable Panel Discussion, moderated by Mark Vruno, editor of Printing News. Mike Mahmoudi (Nino Press), Jimmy Lakdawala (LAK Advertising), and Ty and Kyl Blankenship (WholesalePocketFolders.com) shared insights on how they are leveraging offset printing in their respective markets.
“It was gratifying to hear from customers who are still committed to offset print explain in their own words what RMGT technology has done for their business,” commented Chris Manley, president of Graphco, Midwest representative of RMGT. “Our customers provided some compelling testimony for commercial printers to venture into the higher margin opportunities that still exist in print.”
During GRAPH EXPO 15, the newly branded RMGT 9 Series Press, featuring SMART RPC technology and LED-UV curing technology, was at the center of overflow crowds as printers were intent on seeing the only sheetfed offset press running live at the show. RMGT received a “Best of Category”Must See 'Ems Awards at GRAPH EXPO 15, for SMART RPC Technology in the analog pressroom category.
“In India, which is the most competitive market for presses in the world, and elsewhere, this is becoming a best-seller,” stated Keiji Katayama, vice president, sales and service, and member of the board, RMGT. “It is more economical and space-saving and we are seeing a lot of interest in it in the U.S. as well, a market we also take quite seriously. At this show, we are the only offset manufacturer that is running live machines on the floor.”
