RMGT, the global pioneer in LED-UV curing systems for sheetfed offset presses, will partner with GEW (EC) Limited at the 2020 Print UV Conference to be held March 25-27, 2020, at the Encore by Wynn Las Vegas Resort in Las Vegas.
RMGT has been a Platinum Sponsor for the PRINT UV Conference for six years. During that time, there have been over 70 installations of the market leading RMGT 9 Series press in North America, the majority of them equipped with LED-UV curing. GEW (EC) Limited, already the world market leader in manufacturing UV systems for the labelling and narrow web printing industries, has expanded their product offering in providing third Generation LeoLED LED-UV curing systems for sheetfed offset presses.
“2020 marks the twelfth anniversary of LED-UV curing technology for sheetfed offset printing,” states Kian Hemmen, RMGT Western sales director, Print & Finishing Solutions. “RMGT was the first press manufacturer to offer fully integrated LED-UV curing systems as a factory installed option and first presented this technology at drupa 2008. Since then, LED-UV has become the most prevalent and main stream energy curing solution on the market with well in excess of 500 installations worldwide.”
“This is the sixth year in a row that we have been in Las Vegas for Print UV,” said Chris Manley, president of Graphco. “We are pleased to partner with GEW at the 2020 PRINT UV Conference. By introducing LeoLED LED-UV curing technology to RMGT presses, our customers have expanded their business by introducing new coatings and production of plastics, some through offering folding carton and specialty stocks and many through offering a much more efficient production workflow that opens new doors.”
In November 2018, GEW (EC) Limited initially engaged with RMGT through their Midwestern sales and service distribution partner, Graphco, based in Cleveland. Since that time, GEW has expanded their reach within the RMGT network to the Western and Southwestern US working with Print & Finishing Solutions. One of the prime examples of technology leadership is GEW’s heavy use of IoT (Internet of Things) technology which allows seamless real time technical support from GEW‘s technical headquarters. Using this technology, GEW engineers can monitor, diagnose and even predict if a customer’s lamp needs attention and then a very quick resolution can be provided. “As we evaluated the various after-market LED-UV systems, we focused on the strength of both the technology and the company that stands behind that technology,” concludes Manley.
Print UV 2020 is celebrating its thirteenth annual conference which is focused on UV printing and features three days of education, collaboration and networking on all topics related to UV printing, from equipment and processes to consumables and capabilities.
