RMGT Sponsors Offset Print Insight Day at PRINTING United Digital Experience
RMGT, manufacturer of the leading 8-up sheetfed offset press in North America, will sponsor the Offset Print Insight Day at the PRINTING United Digital Experience on Nov 3, 2020. The PRINTING United Digital Experience is a 14-day online event and will run from Oct. 26 to Nov. 12, 2020. As each day will feature a unique market segment in the industry, November 3 has been selected to focus on Offset Print, and RMGT will be sponsoring the entire Insight Day’s program. This event will mark the North American debut of the new 8-UP+ RMGT 970 which will be showcased with a virtual press demonstration that will kick off the Offset Print Insight Day program. One of the highlights of the Offset Print Insight Day will be a virtual press demonstration of the new 8-color RMGT 970 long perfector offset press. “Using a series of unique, consecutive print jobs, the virtual demo will show a complete make-ready, printing 500 color accurate 8-up sheets completely dried and ready to move to bindery, using just one press operator, in under 6 minutes,” says Kian Hemmen, Director of Sales, Print & Finishing Solutions. “While widely recognized as having a great advantage in longer press runs, a key feature of the virtual demo will be to demonstrate the advantage of offset printing over digital in short-run print jobs.”
Since the merger between Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) and Printing Industries of America (PIA) this year, the new PRINTING United Alliance has become the largest member-based printing and graphic arts association in the United States. The combining of these associations reflects the cross-over in the markets that commercial printers address, which accounts for 14 unique markets highlighted in the PRINTING United Digital Experience. “Offset Print Insight Day, will be easy to remember since it is Election Day, November 3,” states Jeff Wagner, President of G.E.
