Rock Communications Acquires Colorfx, Inc. to Accelerate Growth and Expand Service Offerings
NEWTON, IA—August 10, 2007—Rock Communications, Ltd. of Newton, IA has acquired Colorfx, Inc. of Des Moines, IA. Effective August 10th, 2007, the combined companies will have approximately 400 employees in five facilities throughout central and northeastern Iowa. Combined annual sales of the two companies are approximately $75M. The companies will retain their original names.
The Rock/Colorfx team brings together two family-owned companies with a history of successfully serving customers with high quality print services for over 60 years. The combined company will be led by Jon Troen, President of Rock Communications. John DeVries, current President and CEO of Colorfx is retiring to pursue other interests.

With little overlap in capabilities and customers, Rock and Colorfx will offer an array of complementary marketing services to include: commercial web, sheetfed, and digital printing as well as direct mail, photography, design and interactive web services.
