Rohrer Corp. Acquires Buckell Plastic Co.
WADSWORTH, OH—Jan. 4, 2012—Rohrer Corp. acquired Buckell Plastic Co., based in Lewistown, PA, to further strengthen its leadership in the visual packaging market. Established in 1964, Buckell Plastic specializes in custom thermoformed packaging for the medical, health & beauty, food, retail, and electronics industries.
Scot Adkins, Rohrer president and CEO, stated, “Buckell was exactly the type of acquisition we were seeking to grow our operation. It is a well-run company with products and customers that complement our current book of business. This strategic acquisition helps us to achieve our goal of consistently improving the customer experience by expanding our thermoforming production capabilities and capacities.”
The Lewistown facility will operate under the name of Rohrer Corporation of Pennsylvania and increase Rohrer's presence in the high-visibility consumer packaging industry.
