The Jetstream is a high-volume finishing system designed for both digital and offset printers who require precision slitting and sheet conversion of higher volume print runs. Sheets are trimmed, slit, perforated, and bleed cut in one fully automatic system. This uninterrupted processing eliminates guillotine cutting and increases production while performing the most accurate slitting, trimming, slitting, scoring and perforating. Dual demonstrations include quick job changeovers from Rollem’s largest ever business card sheet of 36-up to a four-up Christmas card sheet. Rollem invites attendees to stop by to see this production machine as it produces 180,000 business cards per hour.
The Mailstream is an all-in-one machine for high-value direct mail finishing. “With loyalty programs at an all time high the Mailstream is the perfect finishing choice for print providers,” stated Doug Sherwood, Western region sales manager for Rollem. It packs nine finishing functions into one system to deliver cutting, scoring, perforating, gluing, folding and tipping—all in one pass. It’s easily customizable to run in-line with digital presses or, as a near-line solution.
Most of Rollem’s solutions are 2-D or bi-directional configurations such as the 2D ETR Rollaway system. The patented strike-slit feature, unique to the Rollem Rollaway, enables the user to program the start-stop-start feature for edge slits and perforations. This feature is highlighted on the casino table-tent application which, when folded and inserted, creates a standing base promotional item. The strike-perf feature creates intersecting perforations for coupons and tear-off reply cards. Representing another hot-selling product, a tri-panel gate-fold wedding invitation shows four-side bleed trimming, center slitting and crack-free scoring to produce a 100 percent square invitation on the 2-D system.
Known for a high degree of accuracy and dependability, Rollem delivers the finishing clients demand with less labor and greater automation. See these and other print finishing systems at GRAPH EXPO, Sept. 28-Oct. 1, in Chicago, in booth #2640.
