ST. CROIX FALLS, WI—March 10, 2014—Ross Printing of Spokane, WA, has installed a Kluge ComFold Folding and Gluing System. The modular construction of the ComFold allowed the company to configure a system that would meet its current needs and also allow for expansion and added capabilities in the future. The friction fed ComFold is an excellent choice for converting a wide range of products but is especially well suited for cartons and boxes. Ross' ComFold will primarily convert small folding cartons for the pharmaceutical and dietary supplement industry. The ComFold expands its in-house services to include package converting focused on short run, custom manufactured rigid containers. Double tuck boxes, partition boxes and auto-lock bottom boxes will be converted at speeds ranging from 8,000 to 35,000 pph.
Since 1917, Ross Printing has strived to be a leader in the industry, staying ahead of the marketplace by investing in new technologies. Its innovative business strategy has brought the company into the 21st century as it now celebrates 97 years as a successful four-generation, family-owned business. Starting as a small letterpress shop, Ross transitioned to offset lithography in the 1950s, then to flexography in the late 1970s and to digital printing in 2000. Most recently Ross has seen its business evolve to serve three main product lines: pharmaceutical manufacturing and contract packaging; dietary supplement labels and packaging; and promotional lithography. Ross has maintained its position in the marketplace by making quality and customer satisfaction a high priority, as demonstrated by its dedication to exceptional quality control practices and adherence to cGMP procedures.
"We chose Kluge because of the ComFold's versatility and value proposition. We have experience with Kluge's quality and durability, that gave us a real sense of security and peace of mind in our purchase decision. We feel good about our choice," said Alan Ross, president of Ross Printing. In summary he remarked, "We look forward to expanding our market share in the packaging industry with the ComFold. Our experience has been encouraging, and we are looking forward to a long and beneficial experience with Kluge."
