CHICAGO — July 5, 2017 — RR Donnelley & Sons Company (RRD), a leading global provider of multichannel solutions for marketing and business communications, today announced a new agreement with Vizient, the nation’s largest member-owned healthcare company. Effective July 2017, the new three-year agreement will enable Vizient member hospitals to take advantage of RRD’s extensive end-to-end communications offerings for forms, commercial and promotional print initiatives.
Vizient first engaged with the company in a March 2017 agreement for RRD’s United Ad Label, providing its members with access to more than 4,000 stock designs and endless custom options for labels and wristbands used by healthcare organizations. RRD’s deep expertise in the healthcare industry, combined with its proven ability to create, produce and distribute effective marketing and business communications materials, ultimately led to the additional agreement.
“We were thrilled to be awarded Vizient’s medical label agreement at the end of Q1, and are now honored to expand our relationship to an agreement covering forms, commercial and promotional print,” says Bruce Hanson, senior VP of healthcare solutions at RRD. “With cost efficiency being a primary concern to healthcare companies, we are confident our products and services will provide both high value and effectiveness for Vizient members’ diverse communications initiatives."
With decades of expertise in the healthcare market and deep experience in helping organizations build, grow and enhance their multichannel marketing and business communications efforts, RRD’s capabilities are unmatched in the industry. The company currently works with more than 2,000 hospitals in the U.S.
“Multichannel communications, when properly executed, can have a profound ability to educate, inform and motivate patients to take charge of their healthcare. Effective branding is essential as consumers have greater choice, yet demand high quality care at lower costs. We look forward to working directly with Vizient’s members to help them uncover and capitalize on opportunities in their unique markets,” notes John Pecaric, chief commercial officer at RRD.
