Sakurai to Showcase New LED Curing and More at Fall Open House
SCHAUMBURG, IL—August 6, 2013—Sakurai USA will present its line of fully automated sheetfed offset presses and ultra-high precision cylinder screen presses, and introduce LED curing for screen printing at a fall open house to be held from 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 12 and Friday, September 13, 2013, at the Sakurai Headquarters in Schaumburg, IL.

Sakurai Screen Presses, New LED Curing for Screen Printing
Sakurai Maestro MS102AII
Highlighting the Sakurai fall open house for screen printers will be live demonstrations of the Maestro MS102AII cylinder screen press equipped with LED curing. The MS102AII is the screen press of choice for producing accurate specialty effects printing, including spot coating, glitter, raised UV, scratch n’ stiff and more. The 29.5x41-5/16” MS102AII operates at speeds up to 4,000 IPH and accepts stock from .003” to .032”.

Also running live will be Sakurai’s servo-driven Maestro MS-80SD with an industry-first optical camera registration system and monitor for improved registration and performance. The MS-80SD is specifically designed for the printed electronics and overlay market, a segment that demands the ultimate in uniform ink deposit and registration. The MS-80SD with CCD cameras has demonstrated its place as the market's ultimate sheet feed screen press for accurate printing in the demanding electronics and medical fields. The 31-5/8” x 21-3/4” MS-850SD, which operates at speeds up to 2,000 IPH and accepts stock from .001” to .0031” with precise registration will be producing printed electronic on a wide range of substrates in perfect registration.
Sakurai SD Series Offset Presses are Ideal for Short-run, Fast Turnaround Printing
Six-color Sakurai 675 SDC with Coater
Highlighting the fall open house for offset printers and printing live will be a fully automated six-color Sakurai 675 with coater. Sakurai 75 SD Series presses feature a double diameter cylinder configuration and are available in straight or perfecting versions with or without coaters and from four to six printing units. The larger, expanded sheet size of 23 5/8” x 31” now allows ample room for 6-up 8.5x11” and makes it possible to perfect, or work and tumble three panel jobs with bleeds and color bars. Sakurai’s three quarter size format provides up to a 50 percent productivity boost to half size printers. The increased capacity of the 6-up format combined with a maximum running speed of 15,000 IPH now bridges the gap between traditional half and full size markets.
Sakurai 80 SD Series Sheetfed Offset Press
Also running live at the Sakurai open house will be a fully automated four-color 80 SD Series offset press. Ideal for short-run, fast turnaround printing, the new 6-up 80 SD Series is available in four to six printing units plus coating and perfecting. The 80 SD provides up to a 50 percent productivity boost to half size printers with its 23-5/8” x 31-1/8” sheet size and 15,000 IPH running speed. Sakurai 80 SD Series presses are equipped with numerous standard features to increase productivity, performance and profitability, including: Plate changers, Sheet size presets (feeder, delivery and impression), Automatic, programmable blanket and ink roller washers with water rinsing, CIP 3-4 with JDF compatibility, QSS (Quick Standby System) with pre-inking and de-inking features designed to shorten makeready and control quality. In addition, several new safety features have been incorporated to further protect operators in a high production, automated environment.
