Scholler Family Sells Times Printing of Random Lake, Wis., to Kappa Printing Group
FORT WASHINGTON, Pa. — May 4, 2016 — Kappa Printing Group II has acquired the business, assets and printing facility of Times Printing, a full-service provider of color printing services for magazines, catalogs and other publications. The new entity will continue to do business as Times Printing and will retain the employees and plant, which is based in Random Lake, WI.

This change in ownership provides investment capital to better position our equipment portfolio and plant operations for the future. Last September, Times Printing lost its longtime owner, CEO and chairman, Ray Scholler, who passed away at the age of 97. Mr. Scholler was a 2002 inductee into the Printing Impressions/RIT Printing Industry Hall of Fame. His parents, Henry and Flora, had founded the company as a community newspaper, Random Times Publishing. Prior to the sale, Times Printing was operated by 10 members of the Scholler family, including four of Ray and Bernice's children.
Times Printing ranked 123rd on the 2015 Printing Impressions 400 with sales of $42 million for its most recently completed fiscal year. On May 1, the company celebrated its 98th anniversary in business.
