SCREEN Americas Expands Label and Packaging Solutions Division with New Role
SCREEN Americas announces the promotion of Dean Kenan to vice president of sales for the company’s Label and Packaging Solutions division. Kenan previously held the position of vice president of sales for the company’s western region and has been with SCREEN Americas since 2013. In his new role, Kenan will oversee sales of the company’s expanding portfolio of solutions for the label and packaging market.
As developments within the global packaging supply chain call for more on-demand and just-in-time manufacturing, SCREEN Americas has devoted more resources to the label and packaging industry. “Globally, SCREEN has seen significant growth in its label press business over the last eight years,” said Ken Ingram, president of SCREEN Americas. “This success has been the basis for creating new solutions in the digital packaging market, which is an important market for us. SCREEN is dedicating significant R&D and manufacturing resources to build solutions and roll out services that will further enhance its position as a key leader in the packaging industry. Dean has done a great job for us driving sales for our products in the Midwest and West and we are excited to see what he and the digital packaging solutions team can do moving forward.”
With over 200 installations of SCREEN’s label technology across the globe, the extra layer of leadership will provide centralized support for the label and packaging sales team. The new level of management will allow the sales representatives to devote more attention to their customers before, during and after press installations. “I think printers will be receptive to having an extra set of ears listening to their concerns,” said Kenan. “With the new sales structure, I will be able to identify the frequency of such concerns and address them accordingly with SCREEN’s upper management. This arrangement will allow the sales team to spend more time on selling and servicing our customers.”
Kenan will lead his team at the Digital Packaging Summit this November where SCREEN Americas plans to participate as a keynote sponsor for the third consecutive year. He will also oversee the first installation in the United States of the Truepress PAC830F, which is scheduled for summer 2022.
