Screen Americas Voted Company to Watch Out For at Inkjet Summit 2017
ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. — June 5, 2017 — Screen Americas turned heads and captured print executives’ full attention at this spring’s Inkjet Summit 2017 when it was officially named the event’s "Company to Watch Out For." Attendees at the fifth annual summit held at Ponte Vedra Inn & Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, heard numerous case study presentations in direct mail, transactional and commercial print from various sponsors and chose Screen over other sponsor finalists for the award.
This was Screen’s fourth participation at the conference which is an invitation-only hosted seminar aimed at graphics and printing company managers and executives who want to learn about the impact of inkjet production printing technology for their business and investment concerns. Organized and managed by nGage Events and NAPCO Media, the summit provides strategic level insights for printing industry leaders who strive to improve and optimize their business.
“We are pleased that our customer-focused approach is being recognized,” said Ken Ingram, vice president of sales and marketing at Screen. “We are proud of this recognition and confident in what it means — that printing industry leaders are indeed watching us. So we are more committed than ever in responding to that trust and interest with industry-leading innovation.”
With 130 attendees including printing professionals from a wide variety of print markets and 60 solutions providers, the Inkjet Summit gave Screen Americas the opportunity to present its new Truepress Jet520NX high-speed roll-fed inkjet press that features higher resolution 5" printhead modules and a unique design that parks the CMY heads during monochrome printing.
At the summit, Screen also highlighted the flagship of its fleet, the Truepress Jet520HD high definition inkjet press, and its SC wide-gamut Inks for direct inkjet printing on offset coated paper. The Truepress Jet520HD is the first press to use the new inks that feature breakthrough absorption technology eliminating any preprocessing or additional primer coatings that are typically required to print to standard offset coated papers. Printing directly to the paper saves time and cost and preserves the paper surface texture to open up a range of new possibilities and new markets for inkjet printing.
One of the summit attendees, Tidewater Direct of Centreville, Maryland, supplier of direct mail component parts to direct mail providers, was the first U.S. company to adopt the SC Inks.
Tidewater owner Ken Boone said, “We are very impressed with both the Screen Truepress Jet 520HD and SC Inks.”
The direct mail component parts trade printer/supplier’s executive vice president Geoff Eisenberg added, “We haven’t seen anything that comes close to the technology that Screen has to offer.”

“We want to thank the Inkjet Summit participants for this award and for acknowledging our efforts as a company focused on delivering solutions to our customers toward helping them become more efficient and competitive, so that they in turn, may have the opportunity to become companies to watch in their respective markets,” Ingram said.
