Screen (USA) to Demonstrate Digital, CTP and Workflow Solutions at GRAPH EXPO
ROLLING MEADOWS, IL—08/30/2010—The Screen (USA) booth at GRAPH EXPO Expo 2010 will highlight Screen’s newest and most sought-after digital printing and prepress technology. The print-on-demand and imaging specialist will offer showgoers a customized visitor experience in booth #1637 from October 3-6 at McCormick Place in Chicago. Screen representatives will demonstrate the numerous profit-making opportunities print service providers can cultivate in the commercial, publishing, packaging, sign and transactional printing markets.
“There won’t be just one star of the show in the Screen booth, but several,” said Mike Fox, president. “We plan to give visitors plenty to see and compare in terms of market-leading digital printing, computer-to-plate and workflow products. Interest in Screen’s inkjet technology has been enormous, especially in the past two years, but new and existing customers are still genuinely excited by how our CTP and workflow solutions fit into their business.”
Digital printing systems
The Truepress Jet520 high-speed continuous inkjet press has established itself as the best-selling device in its class. With more than 200 installations of the full-color inkjet web press worldwide, its reputation as the most reliable and stable production printer on the market continues to grow.
“Different print demonstrations will make it abundantly clear why the Truepress Jet520 is the system of choice for high-quality variable printing of books, newspapers, direct mail and transpromotional materials,” said Bill Brunone, vice president of targeted inkjet systems.
Attendees also will witness the Truepress Jet2500UV delivering stunning images on roll-fed and flatbed-format substrates using its high-resolution printing heads. Thanks to its versatile printing capabilities on plastic film, sheets and board, the acclaimed grand-format UV inkjet printer adds value to a huge array of products, including signs, billboards, vehicle wraps, posters, transit advertising and exhibits. The Truepress Jet2500UV’s eight-level grayscale printing heads and maximum output resolution of 1,500 dpi combine to produce realistic photographs and crisp text that rival offset printing.
Screen introduced the Truepress Jet1600UV-F to provide a cost-effective and easy-to-use flatbed alternative for wide-format printing applications. The Truepress Jet1600UV-F features two types of UV ink (for flexible media and rigid media) that can be stretched by up to 200 percent, as well as cast or bent. Incorporating the latest advances in inkjet printing and UV-LED curing, the Truepress Jet1600UV-F excels at printing vivid, full-color signs and displays, backlit graphics, posters and point-of-purchase materials.
Flexo CTP
Screen is the global leader in thermal CTP technology. Screen’s PlateRite platesetters boast the widest range of plate sizes, fastest speeds and greatest automation. Visitors to GRAPH EXPO 2010 will be able to investigate two reliable platesetters that improve the quality of printed labels, flexible packaging, cartons and corrugated cardboard packages. The PlateRite FX1524 and PlateRite FX870II image flexo plates, letterpress plates nd thermal ablative film at a choice of 2,400 dpi, 2,540 dpi or 4,800 dpi resolutions with screen rulings up to 200 lpi.
Workflow
Workflow applications are among the most popular aspects of a Screen exhibit, and this year won’t be any different. Current and prospective Screen workflow users will receive in-depth demonstrations of Trueflow SE Ver. 7.2. The latest version of Screen's flagship PDF- and JDF-based workflow management system optimizes print production like never before.
