Spiel Associates (Booth 220) is showcasing the widest line of perfect binders in their biggest booth ever in Chicago.

The Sterling Digibinder automatic perfect binder binds books from as little as two sheets up to 2.25" thick. Full roughing ensures the strong binding of books printed on digital, glossy, UV coated, oil infused stock. The Sterling Digibinder Plus adds a stand, safety cover, vacuum and heavier duty roughing, and notching. Both machines can bind up to 360 bph. The new Sterling Digibinder Super adds a cover feeder, a vertical stacker, and a separate glue pot for side-gluing. It’s super efficient, super reliable, and super economical.

Spiel Associates is introducing a new line of Digibinder PUR perfect binders. The Sterling Digibinder PUR is an entry-level PUR binder. It can bind up to 200 books per hour. The innovative closed gluing system includes a pressurized tank with a slot applicator for both spine and side gluing. The automatic book gauge facilitates quick set up. The machine also includes a cleaner tank, which cleans the glue pot automatically. Bind up to 200 bph up to 2" (50mm) thick. The Sterling Digibinder PUR Plus adds a cover feeder and outfeed conveyor. The machine can bind up to 500 bph. Both PUR machines are affordably priced.

Specializing in mechanical binding, Spiel Associates is showcasing its new Sterling Coilmaster Jr. TS. The machine now sports a color touch screen, and a safety beam. The machine will bind up to 600 bph up to 25mm in diameter.  The Sterling Digipunch is the world’s first punch to set up via a color touch screen. Punch up to 72,000 bph, with intermixed cover stock, tabs, and acetate. The Sterling Looper is a unique wire binding machine. It’s a table top that thinks it’s a floor model. Bind up to 600 bph, approaching the speed of costlier floor model wire binders.

For long run production, nothing matches The Sterling Coilmaster III plastic coil binding system. It forms the coil, and inserts it into the book automatically. Form and bind up to 700 bph, from 8mm to 50mm in diameter. The Sterling Punchmaster, Spiel Associates’ flagship machine will punch the lightest of stock up to pressboard at speeds up to 125,000 sheets per hour. Punch a million sheets a day with one operator. The Sterling Wiremaster Compact is a game changer when it comes to automatic wire binding machine. Just drop the book on a conveyor and the machine does the rest. That’s right. It cuts the wire to length, inserts the wire, closes the wire, and delivers the bound book onto a conveyor. Two operators can bind up to 2,000 books per hour.
