Seidl’s Bindery Expands Its In-line Folding/Gluing Capabilities
HOUSTON—Feb. 17, 2012—Seidl’s Bindery, a full-service binding and finishing solutions provider serving printers across America, has recently expanded its in-line folding/gluing capabilities. With two high-powered Bobst Fuego systems on its production floor, the company now offers improved versatility, speed and total output on all folding and gluing work.
“Increased demand for high-volume folding and gluing production drove us to upgrade our capabilities appropriately,” said Bill Seidl, president of Seidl’s. “The second machine effectively doubles our folding/gluing department’s production capacity to help us better meet customer needs in this area.”
Seidl’s’ in-line folding and gluing department can efficiently perform folding, seam gluing, fugitive gluing, and CD insertion in one pass. With unparalleled production speeds, both Bobst systems working together can convert up to 500,000 pocket folders per day. Both systems feature 16 start-stop glue heads capable of applying hot or cold glues, four folding stations for easy conversion of multi-panel applications, and inline CD/DVD and envelope insertion, which allows the shop to produce disc-bearing and direct-response mailers completely in-line.
Printers can leverage Seidl’s improved capabilities to produce a wide range of folding- and gluing-related applications, including direct mail pieces, pocket folders, point-of-purchase displays, CD and DVD packaging, brochures, card and information holders, ticket wallets, airline menus, and many more.
