SGIA Expo Welcomes Winners of Grimco's Golden Giveaway

Ten lucky winners of “Grimco’s Golden Giveaway Promotion” won round-trip airfare to New Orleans to attend the SGIA Expo and a hotel stay, courtesy of St. Louis-based wholesale sign supplier Grimco Inc. (Booth 3133).
Winners of the New Orleans trip included Arkon Design and Graphics (Chula Vista, CA), ASM Graphics (Scarborough, ME), FASTSIGNS Appleton (Appleton, WI), Fort Myers Digital (Ft. Myers, FL), JDI Signs and Graphics (Princeton, MN), New Visions Graphics (San Juan Capistrano, CA), North Point Graphics Studios (Savage, MD), Sign Zoo (Sarasota, FL), Vomela/C2 Graphics (Jersey City, NJ) and Yipes Auto & Graphics (Williston, VT).
For the SGIA Expo trip winners, SGIA also added the following benefits: complimentary individual membership, which includes a free Expo & Education Pass for the New Orleans show; an invitation to attend the SGIA New Member Lunch on Tuesday, October 10; and an invitation to the exclusive Chairman’s Reception where past and present volunteer leaders, sponsors, and staff mix and mingle.
An additional five Grimco’s Golden Giveaway winners drove to their shops in a brand-new Nissan NV200 Compact Cargo Van, complete with a free van wrap in 3M 780mC Reflective Film. All van winners had the opportunity to work with 3M designers and installers to perfect their wrap to advertise their business on their brand-new vans. The five van winners were 123 Signs & Wraps (Roseville, MI), Alphagraphics Lake Mary (Lake Mary, FL), FASTSIGNS Austin (Austin, TX), PIP Printing and Marketing (Kissimmee, FL) and Vinco Vici Vitctum (Ontario, CA).
Twenty-five other contest participants won a $250 Grimco credit.
Grimco’s Golden Giveaway was held in May. “Peel and reveal” tickets were affixed to the boxes of nine SKUs of 54-inch rolls of 3M film. Each ticket contained a randomized code, and when customers entered the code on the Grimco website (www.grimcosgoldengiveaway.com), they discovered whether or not they were a winner.
Ultimately, the company gave away $140,000 worth of prizes. “In my 20 years at Grimco, I’ve never seen a promotion as big as this one within our industry,” says Grimco President Keith Pittillo.
