In the Sharp Electronics booth, C2490. at the PRINTING United expo in Las Vegas, September 9-12, show attendees can see live demonstrations of Touch7 technology, the exciting software that enables prepress personnel and graphic designers to take full advantage of expanded color gamut colors as well as a new range of pastel colors using the SHARP Pink fluorescent toner available on the new Sharp BP-1200S 6-color digital press. By partnering with Sharp Electronics, Touch7 simplifies the design effort necessary to produce expanded color gamut and create bold new designs by adding fluorescent toners to artwork. Touch7 was developed by the same team that produced Color-Logic, the undisputed world leader in metallic color communication and embellishments for every printing process. The Touch7 suite is distributed only by Color-Logic, and is a standard digital press feature supplied with the Sharp BP-1200S 6-color press.
Discussing the enhanced design capabilities available with Touch7, Mark Geeves, Color-Logic Director of Sales and Marketing, said: "Touch7 unleashes the power of the new Sharp BP-1200S 6-color digital press by providing graphic designers and prepress personnel with all the tools necessary to take full advantage of the latest fluorescent toners and expanded color gamut design technology. The Touch7 Neon Color System enables printers to produce their own swatch books that accurately represent the capabilities of the new Sharp press. With the new SHARP Pink toner and Touch7, designers can create their own swatch books, with 390 expanded colors like red and oranges and an array of pastel colors never seen before. Touch7 enables designers and printer prepress personnel to quickly create expanded color gamut files that will print reliably and may be predictably reproduced."
Also being demonstrated in the Sharp booth (and included with the Sharp BP1200S 6-color press) is the Color-Logic metallic software suite developed by the same team. With Color-Logic, graphic designers and prepress personnel can effortlessly add metallic special effects to any image, with predictable results that need not be press proofed.
