Sheridan Books Launches the ShelfWise e-Book Retail Site for Publishers
CHELSEA, MI—April 29, 2011—Sheridan Books, a leading book manufacturer, announces the launch of ShelfWise, an aggregated publisher e-store. ShelfWise (www.shelfwise.com) is an e-Book retail site that enables authors and publishers to generate additional revenue and expand their reach by enabling direct to consumer sales. It is a direct-to-consumer approach that allows publishers to set their own pricing and maintain control of their content.
With the launch of ShelfWise, Sheridan Books provides authors and publishers a quick and easy method for converting, enriching and distributing e-content directly to their targeted audience. Additionally, new titles can be tested prior to printing and inventory carrying costs are reduced through this electronic offering.
Once converted and placed into ShelfWise, titles for the authors and publishers will connect to e-Readers, mobile devices, tablets and computers in the appropriate format with encryption options available that govern access and usage.
Shelfwise is the latest product to be offered from Sheridan’s Electronic Content Services (ECS), a suite of electronic publishing services. In addition to converting and protecting content, ECS offers publishers a branded e-store for the sale of their materials direct to consumers as well as online hosting and distribution of their content to third party retailers.
