BOULDER, CO—08/29/07—Signature Offset’s printing plants in Olive Branch, MS., Las Cruces, NM. and Colorado Springs, CO. are boosting color capacity by adding three full color towers to their current press configurations. The Olive Branch upgrade was completed in August. Las Cruces and Colorado Springs are planning completion in September and early October, respectively.
Kevin Neff, Chief Technology Officer for Signature Offset, said, “over the last five years we have seen our customers’ color requirements steadily increase. To take care of these additional requirements, Signature Offset, has consolidated ten plants into seven and is in the midst of installing new Tensor full color towers in three facilities. Signature Offset realizes the importance of upgrading technology to take care of customers and is always working hard to provide top quality offset printing.”
Signature Offset’s Colorado Springs facility also moved to a Screen 6600 fully automatic plate setter that can hold up to 300 plates. The Las Cruces facility added three additional pockets to a Muller 227 inserting machine and also added an EZ-com control system manufactured by Specialty Equipment Services. All of these improvements are being implemented in order to increase both quality and capacity for Signature Offset customers.
