Signs By Tomorrow Adds HP DesignJet L25500 to Reduce Environmental Impact
COLUMBIA, MD—Nov. 12, 2010—Signs By Tomorrow, a leading company in signage and graphics services, announced today that franchises nationwide will reduce the impact of printing on the environment with the addition of the Hewlett-Packard DesignJet L25500 large format printer.
The L25500 uses water-based latex inks that do not contain any volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) or hazardous air pollutants that can be harmful to people and the environment. The printer also meets strict energy efficiency guidelines, and unlike traditional solvent-based ink technologies, 100% of the waste generated from the L25500 is recyclable.
"We are committed to bringing the latest sign-making technology to our customers and are now pleased to do that in an environmentally-friendly way,” said Heather Davis, Director of Marketing for Signs by Tomorrow - USA. This commitment is reflected in the addition of the L25500, one of a new generation of printers from HP that delivers indoor and outdoor prints on a wide variety of media while offering durability and quality equal to that of traditional solvent-based inks.
In addition to investing in the L25500, Signs by Tomorrow also participates in other green programs which allow franchisees to dispose of printer waste and used customer media as part of its corporate focus on sustainable operations.
According to Davis, Signs By Tomorrow is the first national signage company that will install the environmentally-friendly L25500 printer as standard equipment in all new stores.
