Simon & Schuster Reports Record-Setting Sales for Jaycee Dugard’s Memoir

NEW YORK—July 13, 2011—Simon & Schuster announced that Jaycee Dugard’s Memoir, “A Stolen Life,” sold a combined total of 175,000 copies on Tuesday, July 12, the first day it went on sale. This includes print books, audio books and nearly 100,000 eBooks, a new company record for one-day eBook sales. Simon & Schuster has already gone back on press five times for a total of 425,000 copies in print.
