SmartSoft will be demonstrating the latest enhancements to PressWise, the all-in-one, print workflow system, at the upcoming Dscoop show in Orlando, Fla. The HP-sponsored event for print service providers runs from March 23 through March 26, with keynote speakers including the celebrated speaker, author, and founder of Upping Your Elvis, Chris Baréz-Brown, entrepreneur Kristen Hadeed and branding expert, Johnny Cupcakes. PressWise by SmartSoft will be situated in Booth 557 and ready to discuss all the innovations the past year has inspired.
PressWise offers a single SaaS-based MIS and print workflow platform designed to manage a growing digital print business. The end-to-end system includes unlimited Web-to-print Storefronts, Print Estimating, Order Management, Production Automation, Shipping and Fulfillment, and Mail Processing. PressWise was designed as an alternative to purchasing or developing separate programs for Web Storefronts, Print Workflow Management, Print MIS and Direct Mail processing software.
Enhancements and new features to be shown at the show include:
- More powerful integrations with several third-party web-to-print storefronts, including:
The integration with Aleyant’s Pressero has been improved to reduce the amount of duplicate setup between systems. When Pressero makes a new order request, PressWise now provides a list of products with respective options and pricing, allowing the user to make their selection, and the order sent to PressWise includes the user’s specifications. This eliminates the need to set up pricing in both systems as is so often the case when connecting Web-to-Print storefronts with an MIS system.
For PrinterPresence, PressWise now supports both types of storefronts, allowing users to leverage the e-commerce shopping cart storefront or the express checkout. This provides more flexibility for PressWise customers to leverage the options available on Printers Presence.
PressWise has added a new integration with PrintNow, allowing their storefront users to send orders for products, along with associated finishing tasks.
- Mail processing for those customers wanting to leverage NCOALink is now even easier with integrated electronic PAF management. Users can now submit and manage all of their PAFs through this online portal, which is integrated into PressWise. PAFs can then easily be accessed at the time of mail processing, making the process faster and easier, and simplifying the Mailer’s ability to stay in compliance with postal Move Update regulations.
- Multi-Invoice Payments have been introduced, allowing customers to pay and track multiple invoices with a single payment, regardless of payment type, which reduces the steps in Accounting.
- The new Accounting Codes feature allows Universities or In-Plants to track their production orders via user-defined sets of codes. Customers use this feature to track chargeback accounts, FOP numbers, etc. Optional validation rules allow system administrators to control the format (or even the available options) for each code, making the month-end reporting cleaner and simpler.
