Winnebago Color Press Closes Doors

MENASHA, WI—High-end commercial printer Winnebago Color Press was shuttered on Monday, with some of its assets obtained by CCI/CoakleyTech of Hartland, WI. The company's 50 or so employees were informed of the closure during an afternoon meeting, a source familiar with the situation told Printing Impressions.

Less than 10 employees of the closed firm will be joining CCI/CoakleyTech, which also obtained Winnebago's eight-color Heidelberg press for its Mary Morgan facility in Green Bay, WI. Much of Winnebago's other equipment will reportedly be liquidated.

“CCI/CoakleyTech will continue to support WCP’s customers with diversified and specialized print and marketing solutions,” CCI/CoakleyTech President Chris Illman said in a release. “With the additional resources of the TouchPoint Print Solutions family of companies, including a large network of operations throughout the U.S. and leading technology platforms, we will continue to serve and exceed every client’s expectation.”

The release did not provide any details as to the terms of the asset agreement.
