The Digital Printing Council steering committee, backed by the leadership of David Torok—president of Dallas-based Padgett Printing—was the driving force behind the program. The DPC has been spreading the digital gospel via newsletters, reports, white papers and seminars. Among its other efforts are "Digital Printing Report," a 12-year-old newsletter, and the "Design 4 Digital Web" monthly e-newsletter.
