A supplier struggled to speed up its business processes because most of its operations were carried out manually, resulting in slow productivity.
Prior to this, the customer published catalogs as spreadsheets, and its business partners could only manually add, update, and delete products using spreadsheets. In addition, orders were only accepted via phone or email, and inventory could only be published once per day, leading to out-of-stock orders. Clients could only obtain delivery tracking information on demand.
Solution
Web Services Pros (Booth N1174) set up PromoStandards endpoints for them to exchange catalogs and live inventory with their business partners. They could use the PromoLink cloud extension to make adjustments to inventory, product data, and pricing before serving business partners. Non-API clients of our supplier can now enter orders into an Order Portal, have them entered into their ERP system, and simply track their orders. They can share product data with DC One Source, SAGE, and ASI via PromoStandards endpoints.
