Horizon’s 13,000 square-foot exhibit at Ipex (Hall 20 Booth C650) will be the worldwide launch for the new Standard Horizon CABS 6000 perfect binding system, producing up to 6,000 books per hour. This 17-clamp system is intelligently automated from end-to-end with touchscreen control, and designed for quick, easy changeovers between conventional EVA and PUR adhesives. Further developments in book binding include the new 9-clamp SB-09S binder, which also features swappable glue tanks, and the all-new HT-80 automated three-knife trimmer, designed for operation in-line with the Standard Horizon BQ-470 perfect binder or for off-line use. The new BQ-160 entry-level binder will be shown the first time with PUR capability, ideal for short-run digital photo books and other applications. An innovative new cover creaser that receives crease position data directly from the BQ-160 will also be shown. A range of other Standard Horizon binders and trimmers will round-out the presentation.
