Visiting other printers' operations has provided immeasurable benefits for Hayes, who considers himself more of a "visual" person. He's forged longtime friendships with some of the biggest personalities in the industry, veteran printers such as Ralph Johnson, Tim Poole, Chuck Delaney and Bill Woods.
