Strategic Alliance Brings Print Services & Distribution Association Members New Services, Growth Potential
ALEXANDRIA, VA—July 7, 2008—The Print Services & Distribution Association (PSDA) announced today a strategic alliance with Mid-Atlantic Freelance, a Knowledge Broker™ out of Alexandria, VA. PSDA is an international trade association supporting business printing executives in the print distribution industry. Many of PSDA’s members are print distributors – companies and/or individuals who buy print and print services to resell to a print buyer/end user. Mid-Atlantic Freelance provides pre-qualified freelancers in the fields of: graphic design, copy, editorial and technical writing, website development, and photography.
“Traditional print distributors and print brokers have long been members of PSDA. This alliance allows us to reach out to another business model that functions as print distributors, but may not be aware they are doing so,” commented Peter Colaianni, executive vice president for PSDA. “Freelance designers and marketers, in addition to ad and creative agencies, all buy print and/or print services for their clients. It is the same business model as the distributorship, but hasn’t been traditionally recognized as being one and the same.”
By partnering with PSDA, Mid-Atlantic Freelance associates now have full access to the array of benefits the association affords it’s members from education on the latest trends and technologies in print to printer sources that can support their projects. Additionally, through this alliance, PSDA members will also have direct access to unlimited freelance services. By offering a high level of quality, professionalism and talent to all member companies who may require a skill set beyond their current capabilities, Mid-Atlantic Freelance and PSDA can work together to ensure all PSDA members have the access they need to any number of creative and marketing needs.
Mid-Atlantic Freelance vets each associate through a strict qualification process that guarantees a high level of professionalism. “It takes the guess work out of the system. Our clients know that their project is in the hands of a professional who will get the job done right,” said Scott Gordon, founder and CEO of Mid-Atlantic Freelance. “We want any company to know that they can contact us for quality creative service instead of gambling with search engines or job boards.”
“We see this partnership as a win-win for both our organizations,” said Colaianni. “It allows us to bring our members new, much needed services while reaching out to a group of non-traditional distributors [freelancers] to support them in their day to day business success.”
