Sun Chemical Acquires Ink Manufacturer Colmar Inks, Expanding Its Services in Canada
PARSIPPANY, N.J.—December 23, 2015—Sun Chemical has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire certain assets and liabilities of Colmar Inks, based in Ontario, Canada. Colmar's customer lists, contracts and finished inventory will be included in the acquisition. The transaction is expected to close during the first quarter in 2016.
The acquisition will allow Sun Chemical to expand its liquid ink customer base in Canada and further strengthen its market position as the leading supplier of lithographic, flexographic and gravure inks and coatings in the region.

Colmar is a manufacturer of liquid inks and coatings for the corrugated and paper packaging market, as well as specialty inks for the rod coatings market.
