Creo Products has appointed Mark Dance to the position of CFO. Dance retains his position as COO and will continue to serve as a director of the company. Dance replaces Michael Graydon who will continue with the company in an advisory role. Graydon is scaling back his responsibilities in order to pursue a greater balance in his family and work life. Also, Creo has appointed Judi Hess to fill the position of president, graphic arts. Hess has held the position of corporate vice president, printing workflow solutions, since April 2000.
Goss Graphic Systems has reached an agreement in principle for the sale of substantially all of its assets to a group of investors. The proposed purchasers are three of the company's current lenders and a major note holder, which will contribute $50 million to the new entity. Conclusion of the sale is subject to approval of the court in Goss' Chapter 11 proceeding.
GPA, America's Label Expert, has announced several additions to its GPA Label Expert team. Kathy Willett assumes the position of territory sales manager for the Eastern seaboard. She previously worked for Williamshouse/Old Colony Envelope. Tom Freeman is the new territory sales manager for the Midwest and East. He joins GPA from Case Paper. Also, Adam Payne has been hired as territory sales manager for Northern California. He comes to GPA from Moore Business Forms.
Kodak Polychrome Graphics has promoted Andrew Copley to president, Americas, and senior corporate vice president. Copley assumes responsibility for the company's Latin American region and will continue to manage the KPG organization in the U.S. and Canada.
Shellie Hall has taken the position of marketing manager for Fujifilm e-Graphics, a division of Fuji Photo Film USA. Fujifilm e-Graphics was recently created and is dedicated to providing Internet applications for the graphic arts community. Hall formerly was national sales solutions account manager for Sprockets.com.
MacDermid Printing Solutions has named Thomas Frater as business manager, sleeves. Most recently, Frater served as managing partner of AKL Flexo Tech USA.
Laura Gale has been named senior sales executive at priNexus Inc. Gale joined the company in 1999 and has served as vice president of technology and senior vice president, CIO.
Compass Capital Partners has initiated a service for smaller printing companies that will assist them in valuing, documenting, negotiating and closing acquisitions of or by other printers. It is aimed at printers with annual revenues between $1 million and $10 million. Wendy Nagy has joined Compass Capital Partners as senior vice president to head up these efforts.
