Quark Inc. announced a strategic alliance with Enfocus Software aimed at improving the overall PDF experience within QuarkXPress and to provide bundled solutions that streamline Certified PDF-based workflows.
Agfa's Graphic Systems business group has added an industry specialist to support the company's recent entries into the wide-format printing market. Steve Cutler has joined Agfa's team as marketing manager for the newly formed Sign, Screen and Display segment.
Brandtjen & Kluge reports that four employees have reached their 25-year anniversaries with the company. They are Deb Mitchell, accountant; Dave Peterson, journeyman machinist; Kathy Soul, computer technical officer; and Kevin Robbins, sales and service manager. In keeping with company tradition, each has received an all-expense-paid trip for two to anywhere in the world. This recognition program has been in place since the beginning of the company in 1919.
QuadTech announced the restructuring and expansion of its North American sales group. Greg Kallman, previously regional sales manager responsible for the Midwest, has been promoted to national newspaper sales manager. Joe Czaplewski takes over the sales territory vacated by Kallman, moving from the position of color control system technical sales manager. Nick Mills has been appointed regional sales manager for the Southeast and also gravure publications specialist. And George Czechowski has been promoted to sales manager, the Americas.
Goss International has appointed Bill Rogers to the position of vice president of information systems and CIO. He is responsible for leading the worldwide information systems initiatives throughout Goss International's global enterprise.
Bill Ford has joined Sakurai USA as sales manager for the Central Region. He is located in the Sakurai North American headquarters in Schaumburg, IL. In other news, Sakurai will mark its 60th anniversary in 2005 with celebrations to be held later this year at the Sakurai world headquarters in Tokyo.

Bobst Group USA has signed an exclusive United States distribution agreement with UK-based Channel Matrix. Bobst will become the sole U.S. distribution center for the MATRIX line of self-locating creasing matrix products. As part of the agreement, Channel's facility in Columbus, OH, will transfer all inventory to the Bobst parts distribution center located at the Roseland, NJ, facility.
